Package of nautilus-actions 0.99 for debian sid && testing

I have made a nautilus-actions debian package:

nautilus-actions_0.99-1_i386.deb

Ubuntu Packages

Is there any chance you could package these for Ubuntu Breezy?

Re: Ubuntu Packages

Jonas Fourquier, nautilus-actions' package maintainer for Ubuntu, is currently working on it. It will be available soon.

Stay tuned !

Gentoo ebuild

Ok found a Gentoo ebuild at http://www.breakmygentoo.net/

THe only issue that I have come accross is passing the --with-nautilus-extdir=/usr/lib/nautilus/extensions-1.0 as I don't use the 2.11 or 2.12 version of Nautilus. I have added the following to the ebuild at the end:

src_compile() {
econf --with-nautilus-extdir=/usr/lib/nautilus/extensions-1.0 || die "econf failed"
}

Fedora Core 3 packages?

Would there be Fedora Core 3 packages from anywhere?

Re: Fedora Core 3 packages?

I don't know if the version of nautilus of the FC3 works with my extension, but you can download the rpm source package and try to rebuild it by launching this command :

rpmbuild --rebuild --define='distrib_tag FC3' nautilus-actions-0.3-4.GrumZ.FC4.src.rpm

Re: Fedora Core 3 packages?

(oops replied in a wrong place it seems)

Oh thanks. I could rebuild the .rpm, installed them.
When I start 'nact', I get many libglade-WARNING from nautilus-actions-config.py:11798 (unknown property, attribute, etc.), and it fails with:

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/share/nautilus-actions/nact/nautilus-actions-config.py", line 876, in ?
app = NACTMainWindow ()
File "/usr/share/nautilus-actions/nact/nautilus-actions-config.py", line 449, in __init__
self.aboutdialog = NACTAboutDialog ()
File "/usr/share/nautilus-actions/nact/nautilus-actions-config.py", line 383, in __init__
self.get_widget ("AboutDialog").set_version ("0.3")
AttributeError: 'gtk.Label' object has no attribute 'set_version'

I suppose that the prerequisites are not matched in my FC3?

Re: Fedora Core 3 packages?

yes, indeed

I've probably used some new gtk widget that wasn't available for the FC3. But if it is only for the configuration tool, you may try to edit your config by end, or by using an XML editor like mlView. It is not very complicated in fact. It is just less practical :-/

here is a sample example of a config file (named it config_openterminal.xml and put it in /usr/share/nautilus-actions :

  <?xml version="1.0"?>
  <nautilus-actions-config version="0.1">
    <action name="openterminal">
      <test>
        <basename>*</basename>
        <isfile>TRUE</isfile>
        <isdir>TRUE</isdir>
        <accept-multiple-files>TRUE</accept-multiple-files>
        <scheme>
          <type>file</type>
        </scheme>
      </test>
      <command>
        <path>/usr/bin/gnome-terminal</path>
        <parameters>--working-directory=%d</parameters>
      </command>
      <menu-item>
        <label>Open Terminal</label>
        <tooltip>Open a terminal in the current folder</tooltip>
      </menu-item>
    </action>
  </nautilus-actions-config>

This example is the "Open Terminal" version of nautilus-actions

Re: Fedora Core 3 packages?

Great! I did `nautilus -q` and now I see Open Terminal in context menu :-).

Just noticed that the first time I did Open Terminal upon a subdir in my ~, Nautilus was frozen for minutes, until I closed it. I couldn't reproduce, it works well upon dirs or files now. Many thanks!

Should I send you the RPMs generated on FC3?

Re: Fedora Core 3 packages?

Yes, you can send them to me at grumz_AT_grumz_DOT_net, and I will publish them
